Lisa and Patrick: Amazing Stories of Recovery and Hope

Lisa and Patrick: Amazing Stories of Recovery and Hope

Family troubles… drug abuse… homelessness… refuge… recovery… hope…

The Kukla family is an important part of our ministry…and the ministry is an important part of the family.

Lisa has been on staff for two years as the Women’s Director, she has used her life experiences and God’s restoration to serve and lead many women.  Patrick serves on our Board of Directors to bring a resident focus to strategic plans and programs.  Recently, God has led this family to a new season – Lisa will be starting a part time position elsewhere to allow her to spend more time with their three teenage daughters.  Lisa has been a powerful part of our team and she will be missed.  Patrick will continue to serve on our Board of Directors.  Please join us as we celebrate this family and their obedience to God’s leading.

Check out this video about how God brought Patrick to the House of Refuge Sunnyslope, and Lisa to House of Hope.

Lisa:

“Thank God for rescuing me!”  … “A place where God could restore my family.”

“I was overwhelmed with emotion the day I moved into my own apartment at the House of Hope. I opened the closet and there were Qtips, towels, everything we needed. I was finally alone with my 2 youngest daughters and so grateful for the positive transformation of my life.”

Patrick:

“Bible studies, serving others, being a night manager where the 3 things that the program offered that God used to transform me to be more Christ-like.”
