Old Life
Off and on addiction over many years led to time in prison. When she moved into House of Refuge Sunnyslope, life was unstable and Lisa felt broken-hearted. She was able to live with her daughters as a family for the first time in many years.
“Fear has been replaced with peace and God has made a big change in my heart, my parenting, and in my new marriage.”
“Being a resident gave me the chance to be responsible and productive while being surrounded by people who truly love God and genuinely cared for me and my family. I cannot express the impact this had on my family…it was life changing."
New Life
"I was blessed to be on staff at the ministry for several years, responsible for the women’s program. I currently work in a professional environment making a difference to my coworkers, clients, and my company. I have been married for five years and my husband Patrick has become a father to my three daughters."
