Coming from a “hurricane” of a life, Denna almost wanted to give up, but she stuck through it for her daughter.
Denna came from an unstructured life to becoming able to pay her bills, getting her own apartment and learning how to have relationships with other women and mothers. She wanted to give up when times got challenging, but for her daughter, she stayed in the program.
She learned how to budget. She held a job longer than ever once in the program.
“$20 now lasts me the entire week.”
The ministry helped her walk with Jesus Christ by opening the doors, by being that Christian, faith-based ministry, by having Bible studies and she got to know Jesus’ unconditional love for her. She felt it and still feels it.
“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:15-19
