One of our evening childcare volunteers, Allison, has been with us for about a year. Hearing a call from God, she’s leaving us to follow His will.
Sadly, we say goodbye to one of our dear volunteers who is moving to Kenya for 6 months. Allison, we will miss you!! Thank you for all you’ve poured into these kids for the past few months!! We’re so excited for you. You’ll be in our prayers! ~ Julie Supplee, Executive Director, House of Refuge Sunnyslope (HRS).
Here’s a message from Allison:
Getting to know the littles over these past several months has brought me such joy. I love playing Connect 4 over and over and getting sweet snuggles from the babies. God surely gave me a gift when he unexpectedly dropped me into this ministry. And meeting all of you staff and volunteers has been a huge blessing as well! I always look forward to chatting with you guys and sharing stories of the kids we get to love on each week.
I am so looking forward to this opportunity to serve in Kenya and love on my little ones over there. I feel that this has been God’s call on my heart for a while now and it’s time to see what He has in store for me! But House of Hope will always have a piece of my heart and I can’t wait to see how it has grown by the time I get back next year!
Much love to all of you,
Is it His Will that you serve as a volunteer?
